Pink , rhinestone gelish nails

I have recently completed a nail course, including gelish polish - yay 💅!

I have been practicing and love my most recent attempt;

Having short damaged nails, I have been avoiding using acrylic, tips or fake nails and opting for shellac or gelish. As my nails are short I love using feminine colours and of course, gems. The attempt is a lot tidier than past gelish applications and I hope it lasts a while!

Some of the products I used;

Altogether I used ;

Uv lamp - eBay
Prep & shine - gelux
Base & top coat - CCO
Accent nail - arts clavo
Gelish - mild east
Rhinestones, pearls - eBay
To apply the gems - cuticle stick

Cute heart and glitter nails

A really cute style for short nails and really easy;

The heart was an afterthought (like most of my designs!). I didn't use a particular tool but the end of the polish brush! A nail art brush would have made a more accurate heart but this one works.

Products used;

Black polish - 2true
Nude polish - e.l.f
Glitter - eBay

Pink shellac mani

While I am growing my nails and trying to avoid wearing damamging falsies, here is another one of my attempts at using at home Shellac products. The first layer is looking good, if not slightly transparent.

Please excuse my claw;

The second layer is looking a lot better and a greater colour pay off. I love the shine of shellac!

On the last one the colour looks great but you can still see where I haven't quite sealed the edges,
meaning the polish didn't last as long as it could!

 Practice makes perfect so I'll keep trying!

Products used;
  Uv lamp - eBay
Top coat & base coat - shellac
Pink - shellac

Nude silver glitter tip nails

A look I love and one that reminds me of parties...a really simple way of jazzing up a manicure or adding something to plain coloured nails. Nude is my favourite with this look but it can work with most colours!

Products used;

E.l.f polish - nude
Glitter in holographic - eBay
Nail brush - eBay

Summery shellac nails

Here's another attempt at creating shellac nails at home! I went for Summery colours in coral and green...

And (as always) added a little glitter;

I don't think they look too bad considering! It took quite a while to paint and cure all of the polishes but I was happy with the overall look. And it lasted a week :).

Below are the products and tools that I used;

Shellac top/bottom coat - CCO
Colours - MiddleEast
Glitter polish Bedazzle - Superdrug
Uv lamp - eBay

Nude & pearl stiletto nails

I can't take credit for these, I had a snap from my sister and thought they looked good enough to share :)!

Although most of the products she 'borrowed' from me...

Products used;

E.l.f polish- nude
Stiletto claws - eBay
Mini pearls - eBay
Nail glue - savers
Pencil

Peacock feather inspired nails

I chose cute looking shades of polish to match my peacock feather inspired thumbnail as you can see below;

It was a little fiddly and took a while to build up the layers needed but Ta Da! Here's my first attempt at creating the look!

All together;

Overall I think quite successful... even if it does remind me more of a seaweed than a peacock feather!

Products used;

Avon nail brush/took
Mint nail polish

Navy polish
Gold polosh - Barry m
Gold Glitter polish - saffron
